Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about finding a role or hiring on SkinTech Jobs.
For candidates
Is it free to create a candidate profile?
Yes, creating a profile and applying for jobs is always free for candidates.
I'm not based in New Zealand or Australia — can I still apply?
Yes. Most roles require the right to work locally, but some employers offer visa sponsorship (look for the badge on the listing). Jobseekers from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, the Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, the Philippines, and Thailand are welcome to create a profile.
Can I sign up with Google?
Yes — use the "Continue with Google" button on the sign-up or sign-in page for either a candidate or employer account.
How will I know if an employer has seen my application?
Track every application's status from your dashboard. Employers move applications through their pipeline as they review them, and you'll see the status update there.
For employers
How much does it cost to post a job?
A standard listing is free. Featured placement (top of search + homepage placement) is a one-off $49, and Urgent placement (Featured, plus an urgent badge and a daily bump) is $99.
How long does a listing stay live?
Listings stay active until you close or fill the role from your employer dashboard.
Can candidates from outside NZ/Australia apply to my listing?
Yes, unless you mark the role as requiring the right to work locally. If you're open to visa sponsorship, flag it on the listing so candidates can filter for it.
