Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Depending on whether you register as a candidate or employer, we collect:

• Account information: name, email address, and password (managed securely via our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Candidate profile data: headline, bio, location, years of experience, categories, right-to-work status, resume, and portfolio images you choose to upload.
• Employer profile data: business name, description, website, location, and logo.
• Application data: cover notes and screening question answers submitted when you apply for a role.
• Payment data: handled directly by Stripe when an employer purchases a Featured or Urgent listing — we do not store card details ourselves.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Operate the job search and application features of the site;
• Show employers your right-to-work and visa sponsorship preferences so they can assess eligibility before you apply, not to restrict who may browse or apply;
• Process paid listing upgrades;
• Communicate with you about your account or applications.

3. Who we share it with

Candidate application details (name, cover note, resume, profile information) are shared with the employer you apply to. We use the following service providers to operate the site: Supabase (authentication and database hosting) and Stripe (payment processing). We don't sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored with our hosting providers, which may process data outside New Zealand or Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard consistent with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, for Australian users, the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete most of your profile information directly from your account settings. To request a full copy or deletion of your data, contact the SkinTech Jobs team — we'll action deletion requests except where we're required to retain records (e.g. payment records) by law.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We don't currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
